Research: Yes, my past research dealt with strategies to improve health disparities in the treatment decision making of prostate cancer. My current research is with the Child Health and Behavior Lab (HABLAB) in the Division of Behavioral Medicine here at UB. Currently, we are trying to improve young children’s delay of gratification through a board game we have developed.
Clubs & Organizations: I am also involved with Girl Effect, Association of Pre-Medical Students (APMS), Afghan Student Association, and Muslim Women’s Council (MWC).
Fun Fact: I enjoy baking, calligraphy painting, and camping.
Why I joined WiSE: WiSE is important to me because I want to work towards creating a society where women are represented equal to men across all professions. I am adamant in working towards this goal because I believe women have skills and characteristics that are specific to women only, and integrating such abilities into the workforce will shape society so that it functions more efficiently.
